Earthquake India: Earthquake tremors were felt in North India on Tuesday late night (March 21) at 10.15 pm. The tremors of the earthquake were felt for 15 to 20 seconds. In Delhi-NCR, people came out of their homes. There was panic among the people throughout the night. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 6.5 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was 133 km southeast of Faizabad, Afghanistan, at a depth of 156 km from the ground.
The earthquake in Afghanistan also caused a lot of damage. At the same time, tremors were also felt in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir in India. An official said mobile services were disrupted in some parts of the Jammu region immediately after the quake. People in North India remained in the shadow of fear the whole night. When the earthquake struck, people ran out of their homes.

In the states where earthquake tremors were felt, people kept getting calls from relatives throughout the night. For a long time, people were seen outside the houses only in the streets and parks. In Delhi-NCR, the fear of earthquake was seen to such an extent that people remained outside their houses for an hour. People were scared of aftershocks. At the same time, the fear of earthquake was also seen in railway stations and hospitals.
Dining table started shaking, fans were also seen swinging
After the tremors, people came out of their homes in Shakarpur, East Delhi. Some people claimed that a building tilted, but this information turned out to be false. Officials said two fire engines were rushed to southeast Delhi’s Jamia Nagar following information about a building leaning. At the same time, a resident of Noida said that he first saw the dining table moving. A resident of Hyde Park Society in Noida said, “Soon after that we noticed that the fans were also shaking. The intensity of the earthquake was very strong and the tremors were felt for a long time.”
‘Treaks felt for 30 seconds’
Jyoti, a resident of Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi, said she was watching television when suddenly she noticed that the TV and sofa were shaking. Initially Jyoti ignored it, but when her husband also told about the earthquake, she and her family members came out of their house. Inderjit Kaur, a resident of Ghaziabad, said, “We felt the tremors for about 30 seconds and we came out of our house.”
