New Delhi: Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot and Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDC) Vice Chairman Jasmin Shah launched the Residential EV Charging Guidebook during an event at Resident Welfare Association, Vasant Kunj on Monday. The guidebook contains all the guidelines for setting up EV charging stations in residential premises for Delhiites. This guidebook has tried to cover all the concerns and queries related to EV charging stations for RWAs or residential premises and has all the necessary information including the right choice of EV chargers, power load management.
2 EV Charging Stations Inaugurated

As part of the initiative, three discoms BRPL, BYPL and TPDDL have already Enlisted more than 10 EV charger vendors, who will provide reliable and certified chargers to citizens as per the standards set by the government. One can submit the request for EV charging point installation in less than 5 minutes with EV charging connection (if required) through Switch Delhi webpage of their respective DISCOM. The government has mandated a power tariff of Rs 4.5 per unit for all such EV connections, which is claimed to be the lowest in India. Under this initiative, all the three discoms have already received more than 100 requests and installation of 19 EV charging points has already been completed, covering both private and semi-public use.

The Delhi government has already taken several steps, including directing all existing commercial and institutional buildings with a parking capacity of 100 or more vehicles to reserve 5 per cent of their parking space for EVs with suitable EV chargers with a minimum output of 3.3 kW.
