Delhi conquered ‘Kotla Fort’, kept playoff hopes alive by defeating RR

DC vs RR IPL 2024: Delhi Capitals has defeated Rajasthan Royals by 20 runs. The team has kept its playoff hopes alive with this win. After losing the toss, Delhi batted first and scored a huge score of 221 runs. For Delhi, Jake Fraser McGurk scored 50 and Abhishek Porel scored 65 runs in a stormy manner. When Rajasthan set out to chase the target, Yashasvi Jaiswal lost his wicket on the very second ball of the innings. Jaiswal scored 4 runs and Jos Buttler contributed 19 runs. Captain Sanju Samson scored the most runs for Rajasthan. Samson played a brilliant inning of 119 runs in 49 balls and pushed Delhi away from victory.

Chasing the big target of 222 runs, Rajasthan Royals had scored 67 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in the powerplay overs. The pace of runs increased rapidly in the next overs because Riyan Parag was also batting in a stormy style. Meanwhile, in the 11th over, Parag was out on the score of 27 runs.
