Delhi Capitals ready to spend crores on Australian player who hits fifty in 15 balls!

Delhi Capitals Retention List IPL 2025: Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the mega auction of IPL 2025. Especially the retention list released by BCCI has increased everyone’s excitement about the auction. Now a new update has come out on the players retained by Delhi Capitals. There are reports of famous players like Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel being retained by Delhi, but this franchise has also set its eyes on a young Australian player.

According to PTI, an IPL source said that Delhi Capitals can retain Rishabh Pant for Rs 18 crore, Axar Patel for Rs 14 crore and Kuldeep Yadav for Rs 11 crore. Apart from this, Delhi also has its eyes on Australia’s 22-year-old explosive player Jake Fraser McGurk. According to the report, Delhi management can use Right to Match Card (RTM Card) on McGurk.

Have scored fifty in 15 balls

McGurk scored 330 runs in IPL 2024 at an average of 36.67. McGurk was most in the news for his strike rate. Last season, he scored runs at a tremendous strike rate of around 234 and also hit a total of 28 sixes in the season. Delhi will also keep an eye on McGurk because last season he had scored fifty in 15 balls not once but twice. He gave a great start to the Delhi team by scoring half-centuries in just 15 balls once against Sunrisers Hyderabad and once against Mumbai Indians.

After IPL 2024, he made his T20 debut for Australia this year, but till now he has been able to score only 66 runs in 4 T20 matches for the Kangaroo team. Apart from this, he has also played 2 ODI matches, in which he has 51 runs in his name. McGurk’s style of playing is very aggressive and on his day, he can prove to be a trump card for any team.
