Rajnath Singh celebrates Diwali: Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh celebrated Diwali with soldiers at 4 Corps Headquarters in Tezpur, Assam on Wednesday (30 October). Addressing the soldiers, he said that disengagement with China has happened because the story of your bravery has reached everyone.

My ‘Badakhana’ was also supposed to be in Tawang with the brave soldiers there, but perhaps God wanted me to join the ‘Badakhana’ in Tezpur with the brave soldiers.

Rajnath Singh said that we want to maintain better relations, this is the clear policy of India, but sometimes such situations arise that we have to protect our interests. He said that the government is continuously doing whatever has to be done to restore this peace. The way you are protecting it by living in this remote area is very inspiring.

Had to land in Tezpur due to bad weather

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh left for Tawang on Wednesday (30 October) with Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on a two-day visit. There he was going to celebrate Chhoti Diwali with the soldiers, but due to bad weather in Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, Rajnath Singh had to land in Tezpur in the neighboring state of Assam.
