Pakistan On India: Pakistan on Wednesday (January 15, 2025) rejected as ‘baseless’ the allegations of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi that Pakistan is the center of terrorism and it is trying to destabilize India by sponsoring terrorism. Is trying.
Rajnath had on Tuesday (January 14, 2025) accused Pakistan of continuously trying to destabilize India by sponsoring terrorism. He had said that Islamabad will have to destroy its terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) or be ready to face the consequences.
The situation in J&K is completely under control.
On Monday, Army Chief Dwivedi had termed Pakistan as the “centre of terrorism” and said that the vicious cycle of violence in Jammu and Kashmir is being ‘run’ from the neighboring country. However, he described the overall situation in the Union Territory as completely under control.
What did Pakistani Army say?
In a statement, the Pakistani Army rejected General Dwivedi’s comment about Pakistan being the center of terrorism. “Such politically motivated and misleading statements reflect the extreme politicization of the Indian Army,” it said. The Pakistani Army said, “Pakistan strongly objects to such baseless comments. “It would be wise not to indulge in self-delusion and appreciate the ground reality rather than imagining a non-existent terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan.”
Pakistani Foreign Office statement
Pakistan’s Foreign Office said that “such rhetoric from the Indian leadership” cannot “divert the attention of the international community” from the alleged human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir. The Foreign Office said Jammu and Kashmir is an “internationally recognized disputed territory”, the final status of which is to be determined in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He said that India has no legal or moral basis to claim the areas of PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan said “such provocative comments” are detrimental to regional peace and stability.
