The Defense Expo, which is going to be held in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat, will start from March 10, but the inauguration will take place on March 11. Defense ministers and military chiefs of more than 50 countries are participating in the Defense Expo this year and about 1000 companies from home and abroad are expected to participate.

According to highly placed sources in the Defense Ministry, the country’s highest political leadership is likely to attend the opening ceremony of the Defense Expo (March 10-13) starting next month. But on March 10, the results of the assembly elections of five states will also be announced. In such a situation, the defense exhibition will start from March 10 itself, but the opening ceremony has been extended by a day to March 11.

Now 55 countries have agreed to participate
According to the Ministry of Defense, so far a total of 55 countries have agreed to participate in the 12th edition of the country’s biggest defense exhibition, Defense Expo. This number may increase further in the coming days. About 20 countries from Africa are participating in the exhibition. Apart from this, all the famous companies of the world making weapons are also participating. So far, a total of 900 companies have registered to participate in the Defense Expo. About 100 of these companies are foreign. In the coming days, this number may cross 1000.

The condition of having quarantine for foreign guests is over
According to the Ministry of Defense, the condition of being quarantined for foreign guests participating in the Defense Expo has been abolished. According to sources, the outbreak of corona in the country has reduced significantly. In such a situation, till March 10, the Kovid protocol can be relaxed to a great extent. In such a situation, the Defense Expo, which is going to be held in Gandhinagar after the Kovid epidemic, can be considered as the first international event. America’s pavilion is being said to be the largest in this biggest defense exhibition in Asia to be held once in two years. Adani and Tata’s biggest pavilion can be seen among indigenous companies.

The theme of Defense Expo is ‘Path to Pride
According to a Defense Ministry official, the theme of this year’s Defense Expo is ‘Path to Pride’, keeping in mind the capabilities of the defense industry along with the nation’s elixir of independence. This year the Defense Expo will be spread over an area of ​​about 1 lakh square meters. The last Defense Expo was held in the year 2020 in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, which was spread over an area of ​​about 76 thousand square meters.

A special show of one thousand drones is also going to be held for the common people at the Defense Expo this year. This drone show is going to start-up IIT-Delhi’s Botlab. Botlab itself garnered accolades this year when it showcased a thousand drones at the Beating Retreat ceremony. Apart from this, the Indian Navy will present a sample of Maritime Power in the Sabarmati River.
