Chhattisgarh News: D.Ed candidates in Chhattisgarh have opened a front against the government. On Monday, D.Ed candidates demonstrated and raised the demand for appointment. D.Ed candidates were angry with the appointment of B.Ed candidates in assistant teacher recruitment.
After the demonstration, the candidates who came out to surround the Chief Minister’s residence were stopped by the police. The D.Ed candidate wanted to meet Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and submit a memorandum. Citing the code of conduct, the police did not allow the protesters to go to the Chief Minister’s residence.
D.Ed candidates told that the Supreme Court and High Court have directed to give priority to D.Ed eligibility in primary teacher recruitment. Despite clear guidelines, ineligible people were appointed in the previous recruitment. The protesters said that there has also been administrative negligence in primary teacher recruitment. He told that the protest is going on in Naya Raipur since October 2 demanding the appointment. D.Ed candidates tried to wake up the government by doing water satyagraha, tonsuring and making them drink tea.

Prayers and havan puja were also done for the sanity of the officers. Till now the government representative has not reached to meet the candidates sitting on strike. Since the peaceful movement did not yield any results, the candidates wanted to meet the Chief Minister’s residence today and submit a memorandum. Before reaching the Chief Minister’s residence, the police detained the candidates and brought them to the Assembly and Mana police station. The SDM noted down the names and addresses of all the candidates and explained them not to protest.
Police foiled siege of Chief Minister’s residence
He said that there is a code of conduct in Raipur. A state level program is to be held in November at Tuta Dharna site of Naya Raipur. Therefore permission to protest cannot be given. Accepting the words of the SDM, the DED union decided to postpone the agitation. The candidates said that after the Rajyotsav is over, a protest will start once again in Naya Raipur to raise their voice to the government and officials.
