Bharuch Rape Case: A 10 year old rape victim girl could not be saved in Jhagadiya, Bharuch, Gujarat. The girl died on Monday (23 December) during treatment at Sayaji Hospital. The girl was undergoing treatment for the last 6 days. After the brutality, the girl was admitted to the ICU of the pediatric department of Sayaji Hospital.
It is being told that the girl suffered cardiac arrest at 2 pm on Monday. At 5.15 in the evening the girl had another heart attack and at 6.15 the girl breathed her last.
The incident took place on 16 December
The girl was abducted from near her house on December 16 and brutally tortured in an industrial area of Bharuch district. The laborer accused of rape was arrested by the police. Both the family members of the deceased victim girl and the accused are natives of Jharkhand. According to the information received from the police, the accused, a resident of Jharkhand, was arrested on 16 December. The age of the accused is about 36 years.
Bharuch SP Mayur Chavda said that the accused was planning to flee to Jharkhand but the police arrested him before that. According to the police, the father of the deceased girl and the accused know each other. Police revealed that the accused is married and has children.
Team from Jharkhand government also reached Vadodara hospital
After this incident, a team including the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister of Jharkhand Government reached Vadodara Civil Hospital. Following the instructions of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Minister Deepika Pandey had come to meet the girl and her family. The Jharkhand government team had met the girl’s family and expressed concern about the girl’s health.
During this, he also raised questions on the Gujarat government regarding the safety of migrant labourers. At the same time, BJP says that there should be no politics on such serious issues.
