Couple blackmailed by installing hidden cameras in hotel room, police arrested 4 people

Couple Blackmailed Case: Police have arrested four people for blackmailing couples by allegedly installing hidden cameras in a hotel in Delhi’s Dwarka. It is alleged that private moments of couples were being captured through secret cameras and then a huge amount was being demanded by threatening to make the video viral on social media.

On the basis of a person’s complaint, the police has taken action against the accused. The police have arrested four people including three accused named Dinesh, Ankur and Vijay in the case. According to the police, employees named Dinesh and Ankur used to make videos of the guests coming to the hotel through secret cameras. After this people were blackmailed through Instagram.

The accused told the reason for their act

During interrogation, Dinesh and Ankur revealed the name of their third accomplice Vijay. The accused told that Vijay was carrying out the work of collecting SIMs and threatening while staying in Hapur. According to the police, Vijay also used to work in the hotel earlier. The accused told that they were upset due to low salary, so they adopted the method of extortion by blackmail. Police is trying to find out whether this kind of work is being done in other hotels under some big racket.

Dwarka DCP M Harshvardhan has shared information about the whole matter. The police officer said that a few days ago a victim had given a complaint to the cyber team. The complainant had told that by making a video of his private moments, a demand of five lakh rupees was made on Instagram. A threat was received that the video would be put on social media if the money was not received. After this the police raided and arrested two people. The police reached Vijay through Dinesh and Ankur. All three used to work in this hotel. Vijay had left his job a few days back and got Ankur and Dinesh employed. Both were troubled by the low salary, due to which the accused thought of grabbing money in this way.

The police officer said, “The investigation is going on from our side. Which other people are involved in the case, whether any other racket is going on, it is being ascertained. At present the hotel has been sealed. He said, “No other hotel staff is involved in this. The name of the hotel’s manager has also not been revealed in it till now. Investigation is going on from our side. So far four people have been arrested in the case.
