‘Constitutional amendments have been taking place but…’, Ashok Gehlot’s counterattack on Rajnath Singh’s statement

Ashok Gehlot on Rajnath Singh: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that Congress governments made the most changes in the Constitution, so that the opponents could be suppressed. Now former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has hit back at Rajnath Singh’s statement. He said, “Many governments have changed. There have been changes and constitutional amendments, but there is a difference in the threat that is looming on the Constitution. Today, if Constitution Day is being celebrated, then why has this situation arisen?”

While talking to news agency ANI, Ashok Gehlot said, “At the time of constitutional amendment, some such procedures must have been adopted. If these people had completed the process, there would have been many big issues, which would have had to be brought in the public domain. There would have been a national debate.” After that the government decides what is the attitude of the public and gets it passed through the cabinet through short cuts.”

What did Ashok Gehlot say?
He said, “This Lok Sabha elections It had become an issue. The issue arose because of the blunders he committed from time to time. Now they themselves are repeatedly taking the name of the Constitution. Why did this situation arise? What did Rajnath Singh say, during the time of Pandit Nehru and thereafter we are continuously seeing that amendments keep happening. He has accused him of suppressing the opposition. This is the situation that has arisen during their time. This never happened before.”

Gehlot said, “A personality like Pandit Nehru was a great man. What to expect from those who comment about him now? The Constitution was not made in a day. After independence, what great men did in the country- The sentiments expressed have been reflected in the Constitution, which is why the institutions under the Constitution are being weakened. If so, then this is also like changing the Constitution.”

BJP hit back
Whereas BJP MP C.P. Joshi said, “Congress does not have much to say. The work of taking forward the works, principles and messages given by Mahatma Gandhi has been done by PM Modi’s government, which no other government has done. Congress Does he see something beyond the Gandhi family or not?”

He said, “You (Congress) never remembered Sardar Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri. BJP works by making the matter of the Constitution and the Constitution makers a priority and the Congress people carry it around in their pockets as a show off. Therefore, there is no need to teach the Congress people a lesson in this.”
