Speaking to reporters after addressing an election rally in Jorhat, the Assam CM said, “This is appeasement politics and we condemn it. The manifesto looks as if it is for elections not in India but in Pakistan.”

The Assam CM stressed that no person, whether Hindu or Muslim, wants triple talaq again. He also does not support polygamy or child marriage. He said, “The mentality of Congress is to come to power by dividing the society.” Sarma expressed confidence that BJP will easily win the 14 Lok Sabha seats of Assam.

Give statements to prove loyalty to BJP: Congress
