Chhattisgarh Congress President: A major change has been made in the organization of the Congress before the elections. Lok Sabha MP Deepak Baij has been given the command of the state president. Till now Congress MLA Mohan Markam was holding the responsibility on this post. There was talk of removing Mohan Markam for a long time. Now the Congress national leadership has handed over the command of the state to Bastar’s tribal leader Deepak Baij. Deepak is the Lok Sabha MP from Bastar seat.
This is the second major appointment of the Congress before the assembly elections. Earlier, the Congress had made TS Singh Deo, a senior leader of the party and a minister in the Chhattisgarh government, the deputy CM of the state.
