Provision of penalty of up to Rs 250 crore has been fixed in this bill for misuse. It is written in this that if the government wants, it can keep agencies or states out of its ambit in the interest of the nation.
Data storage will be done in the country itself

For the storage of data, the server can be in the country or in friendly countries only. The government will release the list of these friendly countries soon. Government agencies and institutions will be able to keep the data with them for an unlimited period of time. A board will be constituted for data security.
