Committee constituted to investigate the fire in Dargah Hazratbal of Srinagar, there was heavy loss in the incident

Jammu-Kashmir Fire: The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has constituted a four-member committee to probe the fire incident at Dargah Hazratbal area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district. This incident of fire has caused heavy damage to the shopping complex and 8 houses in the area. The shopping complex belongs to the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board only.

The order issued by the Waqf Board said, “In view of the serious allegations of illegal transfer of Waqf property at Hazratbal Srinagar in the past and fire incident due to alleged negligence of Waqf employees and tenants, this incident and A committee is constituted to investigate its circumstances.

4 member committee constituted

The four member committee consisted of Dr. Ghulam Nabi Haleem, Hon’ble Board Member (Chairman), Mahraj-ud-Din Baig, Principal Madinat-ul-Alum, (Member), Mohd Ashiq Wani, Estate Officer, R&E Wing, (Member) and people like Javed Iqbal Wani, JE Electrical (Member).

Limited will have to submit the report in time

The directive further states, “Apart from examining the complaints of alleged negligence due to the fire incident, the committee will also look into the history of allotment of property and allegations of unauthorized transfer of immediate property and submit its findings with recommendations within a period.” Will submit the report.

What is the whole matter?

In fact, a massive fire broke out in at least seven residential houses, including a ‘U-shaped’ shopping complex at Dargah Hazratbal opposite Sir Syed Gate of Kashmir University. The fire department was informed as soon as the incident was known. The employees of the fire department reached the spot and after a lot of effort, brought the fire under control. An inquiry committee has been formed to get the correct information about the cause of the fire.
