National Consumer Helpline: The Government of India has provided great relief to students preparing for various exams. With the help of National Consumer Helpline, they have been refunded about Rs 1 crore. They had deposited this money as coaching fees. The total disputed cases so far are worth Rs 2.39 crore. These students not only got their money back but also did not have to go to court.
Complaints were continuously coming on the National Consumer Helpline
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs said on Sunday that with the intervention of the central government, students who took admission in coaching for UPSC Civil Services, IIT, Medical Entrance, CA and other entrance exams have been given justice without any case. According to the official statement, about 656 students of various coaching institutes have been given refund through the National Consumer Helpline.
Coaching institutes were harassing us on the issue of refunding fees
According to the Department of Consumer Affairs, action has been taken by taking the complaints of the students seriously. Such complaints have been coming continuously on the National Consumer Helpline. We have taken action in mission mode and curbed the unfair practice being adopted by various coaching centers. Such coaching institutes were harassing students on the issue of refund of fees. We have stopped hundreds of such cases before they reach the court. By running a special campaign, about 1 crore rupees have been returned to the students.

More than 16 thousand complaints were received against the coaching institute
The National Consumer Helpline received about 16,276 complaints from students in the last 12 months regarding false promises, poor quality of teachers and cancellation of courses. In such a situation, prompt action was taken to solve their problems. Students across the country have benefited from this. According to Nidhi Khare, Secretary of the Consumer Affairs Department, we will protect the interests of consumers. We want coaching institutes to tell the correct facts to students.
