Varanasi News Today: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there can be no alternative to hard work. Shortcut path cannot take a person to his destination. Try to choose the most difficult path to move ahead in life, but never take the shortcut path. He said that whenever there has been change in the past and whenever there will be change in the future, youth power will have an important contribution in it. Institutions will have to prepare themselves as centers of energy of this youth power.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was expressing his views as the chief guest at the 115th Foundation Day celebration of Uday Pratap College in Varanasi on Monday (November 25). In the program, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the college’s founder Rajarshi Uday Pratap Singh Judev by garlanding it.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uday Pratap College is a shining star in the world of education. Not only Varanasi, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar but the entire country humbly expresses gratitude for the work done by this college in the field of education and all-round development of life in the last century. He said that the establishment of an educational institute in Varanasi in the year 1909 reflects the great personality of Rajarshi Uday Pratap Singh Judev.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that Rajarshi Uday Pratap Singh Judev must have had a feeling that to build a future India imbued with nationalism, such an educational and training institution has to be established, which will give impetus to the country’s freedom movement. Along with this, this country can also provide capable citizens in every field. This is the reason why the foundation of this institute was laid in the year 1909 at the holy place of Baba Vishwanath.
CM discussed college history
The Chief Minister said that the graduates, post-graduates, good sports persons, trained and educated youth associated with this college for the last 115 years in agriculture and dairy sectors are writing the story of success in every sphere of life. Hockey player Lalit Upadhyay, who won a medal for India in the Olympics, has been awarded the post of Deputy SP. He is an alumnus of this college.
He said that through this institution, work was done to prepare a generation of patriotic youth before independence by providing educated, trained and self-reliant youth to the country. He said that he often gets the opportunity to communicate and contact these people. This morning itself, the former student of this college met Uday Pratap Singh, President of Maharana Pratap Education Council running in Gorakhpur.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that no country can move forward by ignoring youth power. We have to respect their feelings. They have to be provided proper opportunities to move ahead. No country in the world has progressed without youth energy. A country whose youth is frustrated, guilty and confused can never progress.
CM praised AI
The Chief Minister said that today technology has advanced a lot. There was a time when it took 4 to 6 hours to prepare an article. Today through Chat GPT one can get sufficient material related to the subject in three to four minutes. This helps in preparing the article. This is a software of Artificial Intelligence. Youth should be told about Artificial Intelligence, drone technology, robotic technology, Internet of Things and gene editing etc.
He said that for this we will have to prepare short term courses, diploma and degree courses in the college. So that the youth can be provided information about these modern technologies. With this, young countries will be able to achieve a higher position in the world. Only the capable youth and citizens emerging from here will become the identity of the institute.
CM’s special advice to the college
The Chief Minister said that the cycle of time is very strange, it neither waits for anyone, nor gives anyone the opportunity to wait. Only the one who moves according to the flow of time is able to move forward. We need to move with the times and 10 steps ahead of it. The school should also involve its old students on its foundation day, Rajarshi’s birthday or other occasions. Software should be developed to get the complete list of past students. The current status of your former students should also be reflected in your progress report. This will help people more in knowing about this institute.

Swami Vivekananda, who proclaimed Vedic culture all over the world, lived only 39 years. He gave the message of ‘Say with pride that we are Hindus’. Varanasi has been a center of education since ancient times. To make Varanasi a center of modern education, a new direction was given in the year 1909 through Uday Pratap Education Committee. Here, public schools, girls’ institutes, colleges and inter colleges etc. are being run on hundreds of acres of land. In Varanasi all this is connected with one campus. Kashi Hindu University was established in the year 1916 by Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya. These have been two important steps from the point of view of education in Kashi.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that only 20 acres of land has been made mandatory for recognition of universities in urban areas and 50 acres of land has been made mandatory for recognition of universities in rural areas. To provide recognition to already established institutions in accordance with the spirit of Ease of Doing Business, they should fill out a one-page recognition letter and attach an affidavit along with it. This process should be simplified and done online. The claims should be investigated by forming a team. Recognition should be granted if the claims are found to be true. He said that Uday Pratap College has the potential to become an autonomous center in itself.
addressing the students Yogi Adityanath Said that if this institute applies as a private university then it will not have any adverse effect on the service of any teacher. The grants provided by the government will continue to be received in the same manner. After communicating with the teachers union and the government, the institute should take a decision and submit a proposal to the management committee. It will not take long to become a university. You will be able to provide a sustainable model for the formalities of recognition. You will have freedom to take decisions. You will not have to wander from place to place for recognition.
