Delhi Politics: There has been a long-standing tussle between the Delhi government and the LG regarding the transfer of officers. According to the statement of the CM Office, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received a proposal from the Services Department, in which he has received different requests. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called the second meeting of the National Capital Civil Services Authority (NCCSA) on June 28 to discuss the transfer and posting of officers in the city. Government sources gave this information on Tuesday. The first meeting of the Authority was held on Tuesday (June 20) under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister. The meeting discussed the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against an officer involved in some wrongdoings in the Forensic Science Laboratory.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal had said, “The matter is clear, therefore the authority is unanimous in the decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the officer.” According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, CM Kejriwal has received a proposal from the Services Department which includes three different categories of requests. These categories include request of departments for transfer of certain officers, posting of officers against vacant posts, and request of an officer for transfer/posting.
Describing the NCCSA as ‘useless’, Chief Minister Kejriwal on Tuesday said the Centre’s ordinance on control of services in Delhi has placed the chief secretary above the cabinet and the Aam Aadmi Party government will challenge it in the Supreme Court. After attending the first meeting of NCCSA, CM Kejriwal said that this authority is useless and the government will go to the Supreme Court. He claimed that the rights of the elected government have been taken away through the ordinance and the central government wants to control Delhi through officials. He alleged, “An officer has been given charge over every minister. The central government wants to control the Delhi government through officials. In the ordinance, the Chief Secretary of Delhi has been placed above the cabinet.
