India UAE Rail Project: India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval attended a meeting on regional security with security advisors in Saudi Arabia. During this meeting, talks were held to start the Indian Railways project in Saudi Arabia (UAE). Apart from India, National Security Advisors of America, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates also participated in the meeting regarding this project.
According to media reports, in the meeting, NSA Chief Daval discussed the broad outline of a huge joint project of railway, sea and road connectivity in a vast area connecting the Indian subcontinent with West Asia.
Indian made train will run
The main reason behind starting India’s rail project in Saudi Arabia is to stop China’s growing influence in the Gulf countries. Under this project, India will connect ports in Saudi Arabia with shipping lanes. If sources are to be believed, the news of the development of this project was first given by America’s news website Axios. It has been said that trains made in India can run soon in many countries of the Gulf.
Apart from India, America also wants to participate in the railway project in UAE. The main objective of India and America is to reduce the growing dominance of China in the Gulf countries. In recent times, China is investing very fast in the Middle East countries through the Belt and Road Initiative.
Pakistan’s plans will turn water
India can get many benefits from its railway project in Saudi Arabia. If the railway project is successful in UAE, then due to good connectivity in this way, there will be ease in import and export of crude oil. India will have to spend less in transportation of oil. Boosting rail connectivity will help the 8 million people in India who live and work in the Gulf region.
India’s contact with its western neighbors will not be limited. Due to this railway connectivity, Pakistan’s plans will also be ruined.
