Charges framed against 11 people including Tahir Hussain in Ankit Sharma’s murder case


Delhi Court On Riots 2020: Delhi’s Karkardooma Court has framed charges against the accused in the case related to the violence in North East Delhi area in the year 2020. The court framed charges against former MCD councilor Tahir Hussain and ten others under sections related to conspiracy, rioting, murder and promoting enmity between groups.

The Delhi court has given this decision in the case of the murder of Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Ankit Sharma. At the same time, the court has also considered the role of Tahir Hussain important in this murder. The Karkardooma Court said that it is clearly reflected from the statements of the witnesses that all the accused were present at the spot. The court said that Tahir was inciting the mob and all this was done to target people during the incident.

Charges framed under these sections

Karkardooma Court framed the case charges under sections 147, 148, 153A, 302 and 120B of IPC. The court said that the mob was fully prepared to attack people and their property. Tahir Hussain also played the role of killing people and inciting the crowd not to spare people. The court said that when Ankit came in front of the crowd, Tahir Hussain instigated the crowd.

The court also said that Hussain was continuously monitoring and giving instructions to the crowd and all this was done to target people of a particular community. The court said that all the persons present in the mob participated in it with the aim of targeting the people of a particular community. The mob was acting with a clear intention to kill and harm people. The court said that the evidence available against the accused proves that he was involved in the criminal conspiracy to riot and destroy the property of the people and cause harm to them.
