Charge sheet filed against three members of PFI, know what are the charges

ED File Case Against PFI Member: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday (November 19) filed a charge sheet in a Delhi court against banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) and three of its members in a money laundering case related to illegal activities. There is a possibility of hearing on the charge sheet before the court of Special Judge Shailendra Malik on Monday (November 21).

Apart from the Popular Front of India (PFI), Parvez Ahmed, Mohammad Ilyas and Abdul Mukeet have also been named as accused in the charge sheet. The Enforcement Directorate filed the charge sheet in a Delhi court along with Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Naveen Kumar Matta and Advocate Mohd Faizan Khan. Judge Devendra Kumar Jangla said that it should be investigated and it should be registered. To be placed before the concerned court on November 21, 2022 for consideration.

Suspicious money raised from within the country and abroad

On behalf of the ED, it was told in the charge sheet that the accused have disclosed that they have played an active role in cash donation on behalf of PFI and have played an active role in unaccounted cash of PFI through unknown and suspicious sources.

The ED also said, “The PMLA investigation has revealed that suspicious funds have been raised and secreted by PFI and related entities from within the country and abroad, as part of a criminal conspiracy hatched by PFI functionaries over the past several years.” Sent secretly. Secretly deposited in bank accounts in India.

Parvez Ahmed’s crime

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had earlier alleged that Parvez Ahmed was part of a criminal conspiracy since 2018. The money transactions received from PFI facilitators were fictitious, therefore, money taken from dubious sources were nothing but proceeds of crime. It is also clear that Parvez Ahmed, during the recording of his statements under Section 50 of PMLA 2002, willfully did not disclose the correct facts and willfully lied and tried to mislead the Investigating Officer.
