Jharkhand CBI Raid: Before the assembly elections in Jharkhand, the country’s largest investigating agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken a big action. On Tuesday (November 5, 2024), the CBI raided 16 places in the state’s illegal mining scam case in the Lemon Pahad area. This information was given by the officers.
Big things related to raid:
- Raids at 16 locations in 3 states
- On the orders of the court, the case was registered in November 2023
- 14 locations in Jharkhand (11 Sahibganj and 3 Ranchi), one in Kolkata, West Bengal and one in Patna, Bihar.
- 50 lakh cash, 1 kg gold and some silver jewelery recovered
Rs 30 lakh seized from various locations
These raids have been conducted in three districts of Jharkhand – Sahibganj, Pakur and Rajmahal. According to the report, it is being said that all the people whose houses have been raided in these three districts are close to Pankaj Mishra. Apart from this, raids have also been conducted by the CBI team in Kolkata and Patna. In the case of illegal mining worth Rs 1200 crore, CBI has seized Rs 30 lakh from different locations during the raid.
