The policy of the central government is to scrap vehicles older than fifteen years. The organization says that now the rates of new buses have also increased. Now the cost of a new bus is Rs 28 lakh, while the cost of a mini bus is Rs 21 lakh. Also, the prices of spare parts, batteries have increased by 12 to 18 percent.

Salaries of bus drivers and other employees have been increased. That’s why it has been decided to increase the fare of school buses by 15 to 20 percent from April 1. Justifying the proposed hike, Anil Garg said, “Bus manufacturing cost has increased by Rs 1.5 to 2 lakh per vehicle and now we have to spend Rs 28 lakh to buy a minibus and Rs 21 lakh to buy a tempo traveler .The cost of our spares, tires and even batteries have increased by 12-18%.The labor salary has also increased from Rs 2500 to Rs 3000. We need to increase our fees.
