Madhya Pradesh News: Bulldozers have started running in the Simhastha Mela area after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave instructions to amend the master plan. Bulldozers razed three houses in Simhastha Mela area. According to Collector Kumar Purushottam, the campaign to remove illegal encroachments in Simhastha Mela area continues continuously. The Municipal Corporation team had prepared a report of construction of some houses in Simhastha Mela area in Murlipura area. Action has been taken to remove illegal encroachments on the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Roshan Singh.
According to corporation officials, 3 illegal encroachments near Murlipura under Zone No. 1 were encroached in Simhastha Mela area. To remove this encroachment, three notices were issued by the Municipal Corporation under section 307. Satisfactory reply to these notices was also not received. Apart from this, the encroachers did not even remove their encroachment. Because of this, on Friday, the Municipal Corporation team fired bulldozers on three houses. Before this action was taken to evacuate the houses. The encroachers also protested against the proceedings, but due to the presence of the police force, the matter was pacified.
Rapid action after the Chief Minister’s order
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has recently reshuffled the master plan of Ujjain and instructed to include 148 hectares of land converted from agricultural land to residential a month back in the Simhastha Mela area. In this regard, 15 days time has also been given regarding the objection. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the government is taking necessary steps to ensure that there is no disturbance in the Simhastha fair. Due to this, the master plan is also being reshuffled. After this order of the Chief Minister, now the action to remove encroachment in Simhastha Mela area is also going on.
Simhastha fair will be held in 2028
Simhastha fair is held once in 12 years in Ujjain. After Simhastha 2016, preparations for Simhastha 2028 have already started. Ashish Singh, former collector of Ujjain, had identified 331 encroachments made after the year 2016 in the Simhastha Mela area. Action was to be taken to remove these encroachments, but due to the election year, concrete action could not be taken. Now the action has been started by the Municipal Corporation to remove some encroachments.

According to Paramhans Awadhesh Puri Maharaj, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has done a proper job of reshuffle in the master plan to preserve the land of Simhastha. Apart from this, the campaign to remove encroachment on the land of Simhastha should also go on fast.
