MP News Today: Bahujan Samaj Party, which has registered its strong presence as a third front in the politics of Madhya Pradesh, will contest the elections with its new motto. BSP has changed its tag line after 17 years. BSP has returned to its old motto.
Kanshi Ram, the founder of Bahujan Samaj Party, which was established in the year 1984, had given the motto of the party – “Bahujan Hitay-Bahujan Sukhay.” After becoming the party supremo, Mayawati changed the tag line in 2007. With the intention of taking everyone along, he changed Bahujan Hitaya-Bahujan Sukhaay to Sarvajan Hitaya-Sarvajan Sukhaay.
Bahujan Samaj Party hoped that everyone would support this motto. BSP had been doing politics in Madhya Pradesh also on the basis of this motto or tag line.
Falling graph of BSP in politics
On this intention of BSP supremo Mayawati, BSP government was formed with full majority in the 2007 elections in Uttar Pradesh politics. However, later the graph of BSP gradually started falling.
Due to this motto, Bahujan did not get attention in the party and everyone left the party. In this way the graph of BSP kept falling continuously. To sharpen its political edge, BSP has again changed the tag line or motto of the party.
Tag line changed two days ago
BSP has changed its motto or tag line only two days ago. The party has now returned to the old motto “Bahujan Hitaya, Bahujan Sukhaay”. The intention behind the change in this motto is clearly visible that the party will now return to the politics of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
