Britain’s Transport Secretary Resign: Britain’s Transport Minister Louise Haig resigned from her post on Friday (29 November). The reason behind the resignation was the revelation that Lewis Haig had confessed to a crime before becoming a member of the UK Parliament. The resignation of the Transport Minister is the first resignation by a party member since the Labor Party government led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer came to power by winning the general election in July.

After Lewis Haig resigned, Prime Minister Keir Starmer thanked him for his work. The Prime Minister said Haig had made “huge progress” in returning the country’s railways to public ownership.
