Boman Irani started his career in Bollywood with a character in Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Josh’. He was 41 years old at that time. However, before coming into acting, Boman Irani had also tried his hands in many fields.
Boman Irani also worked as a professional photographer between 1987 and 89. Boman’s early life went through a lot of struggles. Boman Irani was suffering from dyslexia since childhood.
Boman, born in a Parsi family in Mumbai in 1959, could not speak properly in his childhood. The important thing is that the shadow of his father was gone from Boman’s head in his childhood itself.
In childhood, Boman used to stutter a lot while speaking. During a program, Boman also mentioned how people used to make fun of him whenever he spoke.
The actor had said during a conversation that whenever I spoke, I used to feel afraid that people would make fun of me, but later I realized that you cannot always be afraid. Boman told that then his mother asked him to take speech therapy and with its help he recovered to a great extent.
Boman worked in many fields as a career. After studies, he did a course in hotel management and then worked for a long time as a waiter and room service staff in Hotel Taj Mahal. After this, Boman also helped his mother in her bakery. When Boman took over his mother’s bakery business, he started earning quite well in it. He did this work continuously for 14 years.
However, Boman’s mind was towards acting and direction, so he left this work. He learned the tricks of acting under the supervision of Hansraj Scindia and also did a lot of theatre. His exposure to theater helped and he started his acting career at the age of 41 through the film Josh. After this, Boman played many characters in different films and established his identity as a successful actor.
