PM Modi Security Lapse: The AIADMK had recently met the Governor regarding the ‘deteriorating’ law and order situation in Tamil Nadu. Now the BJP has made serious allegations against the state government (DMK) regarding PM Modi’s visit. BJP’s Tamil Nadu chief Annamalai alleges that there was a lapse in security from the police when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Tamil Nadu in July. The party met Governor RN Ravi on Tuesday (November 29) regarding this and appealed to him to instruct the DMK-led state government to order an inquiry.
BJP says that action should be taken against those found guilty after investigating the matter. alleged that the DMK-led government Narendra Modi harassed. His security lapse occurred during his visit to Chennai on 29 July to inaugurate the Chess Olympiad. The BJP told the governor that the event was organized in a highly sensitive state like Tamil Nadu in the presence of several dignitaries and additional security measures were needed, especially when the country’s prime minister was traveling.
Central agencies had also pointed out the flaws
The BJP claims that most of the hand-held metal detectors, door frame metal detectors and bomb detectors used in the security system were not in order. Many things were also overlooked in the maintenance. The party has also requested to conduct an audit on the list of security equipment. They allege that during this time the security equipment has been compromised. In this way the security of the Prime Minister of the country was put at risk in the state. After his visit, the central agencies had also pointed out the lapses.

The BJP says that after the central agencies asked, the police department issued a circular to all police stations demanding a status report of all security equipment, which should have been done before the PM’s visit. The BJP alleges that the intelligence inputs before the tour were ignored. The DMK government in power is using the state intelligence department to settle its political scores.
