UP Bypolls 2024: A big meeting of BJP and Sangh was held in Lucknow on Thursday evening amid the ongoing political turmoil regarding the by-elections and the movement of UPPSC students in front of the UP Public Service Commission. In this meeting, everything from SP’s PDA formula to the students’ movement were discussed. Along with this, further strategy was also discussed.
Strategy regarding by-elections was made in the meeting of BJP and Sangh. In this meeting, RSS co-government leader Arun Kumar talked with the regional group of the Sangh and BJP leaders. During this, BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and Organization General Secretary Dharampal were also present.
Preference to people associated with the Sangh
It was emphasized in the meeting that while changing the BJP organization, changing the cabinet and giving posts in commissions, people with Sangh background should be given more preference. Along with this, the mantra of how to take forward the public interest and developmental agenda of PM Modi was also given.
Emphasis on Hindutva agenda
In the meeting, discussion was also held regarding the proposal to cut the PDA formula of Samajwadi Party. The Sangh stressed on sharpening the Hindutva agenda to cut off the PDA. For this, emphasis was laid on implementing it on the ground, taking PM Modi’s slogan ‘If we stay together, we will be safe’ as the basis. CM Yogi’s slogan of ‘Bantenge to Katenge’ will also be used as the basis.
Union expressed concern over student movement
After the assembly by-elections, fresh programs will also be started with a view to the general elections 2027. During this time, the Sangh also expressed concern over the ongoing student movement in Prayagraj and in the meeting stressed on coordination with the competing students and advised to consider their views in a democratic manner.
The Sangh will use its full strength at the last moment
It was decided in the meeting that the Sangh will use its full strength in the last phase of the elections on the seats where there is tough competition for the by-elections. These include seats like Karhal, Kundarki, Sisamau, Katehari.
