Political Strategy: BJP has hoisted its flag by registering a historic victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections. There is a “seed mantra of five elements” behind this success. In which Hindutva, OBC integration, booth management, government schemes and strength of union organization were considered the main factors.
1. If there is one then it is safe
This seed mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has played a big role in bringing everyone together. This was the first time when the Prime Minister had called for everyone’s unity in this way. The PM had repeated this not once but many times in his fiery rallies. Interesting thing is that it was started by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath Did it. Yogi had said in his election speech, “If you divide, you will be divided.” But the PM took it to a higher level and spread it among everyone in the form of a mantra. This slogan of the Prime Minister not only united Hindutva but also united the Hindu vote bank with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
2. OBC Consolidation
This proved to be the second biggest mantra for BJP. OBC vote became the biggest victory mantra for Bharatiya Janata Party. Chandrashekhar Bawankule, president of Bharatiya Janata Party of Maharashtra, emerged as its big face. Bawankule did not get the ticket in the 2019 elections, but despite that he remained engaged in party work, the benefit of which was that he was made the state president. He started working on it from 2023. The style of work was also different, traveling hundreds of kilometers by train, continuously meeting thousands of workers and after that, a round of meetings in which coordination was made directly with Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda.
MP Bhupendra Yadav, who was in charge of the state elections, gave a new edge to the strategy, while the role of Shiv Prakash on behalf of the organization also kept the party moving towards victory. While the slogan of “If we are united, we are safe” united the Hindu vote bank, the party took every step keeping in mind the OBC consolidation. There are about a hundred seats on which they have a direct impact and 224 Lok Sabha elections The OBC vote bank which was scattered due to the mistakes made in 1949, could be brought together under the banner of BJP and Mahayuti.
3. Booth Management- Journey from C booth to A
The Home Minister is called the Chanakya of elections and this reshuffle in one lakh booths of Maharashtra was very necessary. Under this strategy, it was a big challenge to bring the C category booth to A category. This sounds very easy to hear and read but it is equally challenging to implement it on the ground. In Maharashtra, the Home Minister held continuous meetings with about 10 thousand party officials to try to bring the Bharatiya Janata Party from the third position to the first position in these meetings.
Its direct impact was on about 120 assemblies. For example, there were about 30 thousand such booths where direct focus was placed on Bharatiya Janata Party in third place. Home Minister Amit Shah told the same thing to every worker in his meetings that where BJP’s vote is less, BJP’s vote percentage will have to be increased and where BJP’s vote is less than 10 percent, it will have to be increased to more than 10 percent. . The state president constantly kept an eye on this target given to every worker. State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule used to give reports of state level meetings at the national level.
4. Government work, name of Bharatiya Janata Party
The Mahayuti government may have got two and a half years under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, but the work done in these two and a half years was not conveyed to the public as the work of Shinde’s government but as the achievements of the Bharatiya Janata Party. BJP left no stone unturned in taking each of its schemes to the masses. Be it the girl child scheme, crop insurance or the decision of loan waiver for farmers, all these were conveyed to every voter of Maharashtra by Bharatiya Janata Party combining their words, work and name.
Even though BJP did not reveal the face of the Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis’s picture in every picture was playing a big role in changing the fortunes of BJP. The party spread the acceptance of Devendra Fadnavis to the masses and in doing so, set the pace for the coming years in the double engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in every scheme of the government.
5. Associations and Organizations
The headquarters of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is in Nagpur. When unions and organizations worked together, success was certain. After the victory in Haryana, the Bharatiya Janata Party once again joined the government’s schemes with its old strengths.

The party has drawn a long and big line by connecting small points, which will be almost impossible for any party to erase or even reach there in the coming days.
