BJP Vs Congress Over Karnataka Guarantee Scheme: The tussle between the BJP and the Congress government in Karnataka continues. Both the parties are accusing each other regarding the election guarantee of Karnataka Congress. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday (June 15) claimed that the Finance Department of Karnataka has expressed its inability to provide additional grants to pay for the expenditure on salaries and fuel.
The BJP took a jibe at the Congress government in Karnataka saying whether the state government would now bear the cost of free bus travel from its own pocket? At the same time, reaction has also come from the Congress on the claim of BJP. Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the anti-poor attitude of BJP and PM Modi has now been exposed in front of everyone.
Karnataka is bleeding from rowdy politics – Malviya
Sharing a copy of the purported letter from Karnataka’s Finance Department on Twitter, BJP’s information and technology department chief Amit Malviya said, “Karnataka is bled by rowdy politics.” has informed RTCs (Road Transport Corporations) including KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) and BMTC (Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation) that it cannot provide additional grant for payment of salaries and fuel expenses.” Malviya questioned. “Will the Congress now pay from its own pocket to fulfill the promise of free bus travel?”
Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said this
Many Congress leaders have also given their reaction on this claim of BJP. Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala tweeted that the anti-poor attitude of the BJP and PM Modi has now come to the fore as the Modi government has denied the sale of rice by puppet FCI to the Congress government in Karnataka. The Congress guarantee of “Anna Bhagya” is to supply 10 kg of free rice per person to every BPL family in Karnataka, he said. Due to which about 4.42 crore people of the state will be beneficiaries.

‘It shows hostility towards the poor’
Surjewala said that the Karnataka Congress government is ready to give Rs 11,000 crore to FCI for the supply of rice. However, the Modi government has directed FCI not to sell rice to the Congress government in Karnataka. He said that FCI has rice stock which it wants to sell in the ‘open market’ to big traders but not to the Karnataka government. This shows the enmity of BJP and Modi government towards SC, ST, OBC and poor who voted for corrupt BJP. He has asked many questions in his tweet.
First look at your governments – Priyank Kharge
At the same time, Priyank Kharge, a minister in the Karnataka government and son of the Congress chief, said that Amit Malviya should first tell about the revelries being given in his government. In Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Minister of BJP has announced to give free scooty to girl students. Is he not a revedi? He said, ‘I don’t know why BJP has so much problem with women empowerment. I appeal to Amit Malviya to first look at his governments and then say something’.
