‘Congress does politics in the name of religion’
During the Karnataka elections, BJP lashed out at Congress on this issue, BJP leader and country’s Home Minister Amit Shah said, we have banned politics done in the name of religion, but Congress party says, if we come to power So Muslims will bring back the reservation. He said, I ask that if you bring reservation, whose reservation will you cut?

During the election campaign in Karnataka, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma targeted the Congress and said, if Jinnah was alive, he would not have issued such a manifesto. Sarma said, Congress has become only Muslim fundamentalist party, because Congress is saying that we will bring back Muslim reservation again. He said, while considering this issue, the Supreme Court should also consider that if it is reinstated in Karnataka, such demands will start arising from other parts of the country as well.
