During the election campaign in Karnataka, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma targeted the Congress and said, if Jinnah was alive, he would not have issued such a manifesto. Sarma said, Congress has become only Muslim fundamentalist party, because Congress is saying that we will bring back Muslim reservation again. He said, while considering this issue, the Supreme Court should also consider that if it is reinstated in Karnataka, such demands will start arising from other parts of the country as well.
