BJP, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will contest elections on so many seats, final division in Mahayuti?

There are total 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. There is a coalition government of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP, which is called Mahayuti alliance. In the 2019 assembly elections, BJP had won the maximum of 105 seats. At present BJP has 103 MLAs. Shiv Sena has 40 MLAs and NCP has 43 MLAs.

MVA seat sharing also final
The final decision on seat sharing in Maharashtra’s opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi is almost here. However, it is yet to be formally announced. According to sources, Congress can contest elections on 103-108 seats. At the same time, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena UBT can get 90-95 seats. Apart from this, NCP (SP) of Sharad Pawar faction can contest elections on 80-85 seats.

BJP candidate list released for Maharashtra elections
Meanwhile, BJP has released its first candidate list for Maharashtra Assembly elections and announced the names of 99 candidates. There are a large number of women candidates in the list released on Sunday (20 October).

Apart from this, last night itself Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has released its first list announcing candidates for 45 seats. CM Eknath Shinde’s name is also there in this. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is going to contest from Kopri Pachpakhadi seat.

Voting is to be held for a total of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra in a single phase. According to the schedule released by the Election Commission, voting will be held simultaneously on all seats on November 20. After this, the election results will be announced after the counting of votes on 23 November.
