BJP-AJSU Alliance: BJP, which is busy preparing for the Jharkhand assembly elections, has been put under tension by its ally AJSU. Sources said that Sudesh Mahto’s All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) party has demanded 15 seats from BJP. Whereas BJP has agreed to give 9 seats.
Meanwhile, to resolve the issue, AJSU chief Sudesh Mahato met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday (September 22). During this, Assam Chief Minister and BJP co-in-charge in Jharkhand Himanta Biswa Sarma was also present.
There will be a meeting again
Even after this meeting no decision could be taken. Now a meeting may be held again on 27th or 28th September.
In New Delhi amit shah Sudesh Mahato, who returned to Ranchi on Monday after discussing election-related issues with the CM, said that there was a positive discussion on the current political situation in the state and various issues related to the upcoming assembly elections. We are ready to enter the election fray with strength. Talks are going on regarding seat sharing.
Both of them are claiming these seats
According to news agency IANS, both BJP and AJSU have staked claim on Tundi, Chandankiyari, Jugsalai, Tamar, Ichagarh and Lohardaga seats. Jharkhand BJP’s election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that we will release the first list of our candidates in the auspicious time of Navratri. In such a situation, it is expected that soon a middle path will emerge between the two parties.
In the 2019 assembly elections, there was no agreement between BJP and AJSU regarding seat sharing. Then AJSU announced to contest the elections separately from NDA. AJSU had fielded candidates on 52 seats. Both the parties suffered due to this and failed to repeat the 2014 election result. They had to be out of power.
Although Lok Sabha Elections In 2015, AJSU and BJP contested together. BJP fielded candidates on 13 seats in the state, while AJSU was given one seat. Assembly elections may be held in Jharkhand in November. There are 81 assembly seats here. JDU will also join NDA in Jharkhand, so it will be interesting to see how many seats the party gets.
