Bilawal Bhutto spoke about India during the SCO summit – ‘We fight terrorism…’

SCO summit 2024: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on his arrival to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit held in Islamabad. Bilawal said that Jaishankar is our guest and he should be welcomed well. However, he expressed disappointment that bilateral talks are not taking place between India and Pakistan on this occasion.

Bilawal stressed that India and Pakistan should talk on important issues like climate change and terrorism. He said that both countries are deeply affected by these problems and if these issues are ignored then they can create more problems.

Bilawal Bhutto gave statement in Pakistani TV channel
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while talking to Pakistani TV channel RY News, said, “Talk is necessary, be it today or tomorrow, we will have to talk. There may be differences between the two countries, but we should not forget that We are struggling with problems like climate change and terrorism.”

He further said that even though India blames Pakistan and Pakistan blames RAW, the problem is the same for both the countries.

It is a matter of great pride for Pakistan that today you are hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Conference in Pakistan.

Urged to Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar
Bilawal urged Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar to talk to Pakistani media and answer their questions. He told that when he went to India for the SCO summit in 2023, he answered the questions of the Indian media. Bilawal believes that the distance between the two countries can be reduced only through dialogue.
