Big success for police in Baba Siddiqui murder case, main accused arrested from Bahraich, UP

Baba Siddique Murder Case Update: 5 more people have been arrested in the murder case of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. In this case, shooter Shivkumar and those who gave him shelter were arrested on Sunday (10 November). The joint team of STF Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai Crime Branch has caught this shooter. Police caught him from Nanpara Bahraich.

It is being told that the accused shooter Shivkumar was planning to escape to Nepal. The STF team was led by Sub Inspector Javed Alam Siddiqui of Pramesh Kumar Shukla’s headquarters based team.

5 more arrested in Baba Siddiqui murder case

Apart from arresting the shooter Shivkumar, the police have also arrested Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava and Akhileshendra Pratap Singh for the crime of giving shelter to him and helping him in trying to escape to Nepal. It is being told that Shiva, a resident of Gandara in Bahraich, was involved in the murder of Baba Siddiqui. Mumbai Police was searching for the main accused for a month.

Big revelation during interrogation of accused Shiv Kumar

The arrested accused Shiv Kumar told during interrogation that he and Dharamraj Kashyap are residents of the same village. Used to do scrap work in Pune. He told that the scrap shop of mine and Shubham Lonkar were side by side. Shubham Lonkar works for Lawrence Vishnoi. He has made me talk to Lawrence Vishnoi’s brother Anmol Vishnoi several times through Snap Chat. In return for the murder of Baba Siddiqui, I was told that after the murder you would get ten lakh rupees and you would keep getting something or the other every month.

Shiv Kumar further said, “Weapons and cartridges, SIM, mobile phone for murder were used by Shubham Lonkar and Mohd. Yasin Aktar gave it to us. After the murder, the three shooters were given new SIMs and mobile phones to talk to each other. For the last several days, we were doing recce of Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai and when we got the right time on the night of 12 October 2024, we killed Baba Siddiqui.

He also told that due to the festival that day, there was police and crowd, due to which two people were caught on the spot and I had absconded. I threw the phone on the way and went from Mumbai to Pune. Reached Bahraich from Pune via Jhansi and Lucknow. In between, I kept talking to my colleagues by asking the handlers for anyone’s phone.

Shiv Kumar also told that I had talked to Kashyap by asking for a phone from a passenger in the train and he had said that Abvindra, Gyan Prakash and Akash had together made arrangements for you to hide in Nepal, that is why I had come to Bahraich and He was planning to go to Nepal with his friends. Other colleagues also supported this.

Let us tell you that NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead on October 12 outside the office of his son Zeeshan Siddiqui in Bandra, Mumbai.
