Cyclone Biparjoy Update: Cyclone Biparjoy is moving fast towards Gujarat. According to NDRF DG Atul Karwal, cyclone Biparjoy will hit Jakhau port by late evening on Thursday (June 15). He said that our preparations for the cyclone are complete. 18 teams of NDRF are deployed with the Gujarat government, mostly in Kutch. Along with this, 12 teams of SDRF have been deployed. NDRF DG said that there could be a flood of 3 to 6 meters. Along with this, big ships have been sent to the sea.
NDRF DG Atul Karwal further told that many people have been shifted from the danger zone. Pregnant women have also been admitted to the hospital. The reserve team is in 15th place. Where needed, they can be airlifted and sent. Apart from this, all government agencies are ready.
Karwal told that teams are ready in both North and South Gujarat. 2 teams in Rajkot, 1 team in Jamnagar and 4 to 5 such teams are on reserve. Atul Karwal told that some houses were damaged in Jamnagar and 5 people had died even before the cyclone made landfall.
