Big relief for New Zealand cricket team, Trent Boult will be seen wreaking havoc in the world

ODI World Cup 2023: New Zealand’s star fast bowler Trent Boult is currently playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023. Meanwhile, he expressed his desire to play in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. Bolt said that he still has the desire to play for New Zealand. Bolt had decided to leave the New Zealand Central contract in August 2022 to spend time with the family and for franchise cricket.

Bolt played his last international match for New Zealand in the T20 World Cup played in 2022. He told in an interview to ‘ESPNcricinfo’ that he still wants to play for New Zealand. Bolt said while talking, “I still want to play for New Zealand and this is my big wish. I am lucky that I played for New Zealand for 13 years and I want to play in the World Cup as well. Let’s see what happens next.

Recalling the 2019 ODI World Cup, the bowler said, “I remember telling Kane Williamson after the 2019 final that we will have to come back to India in 2023. We are a great ODI team. We have many players who have toured India and they understand the conditions here. This experience comes in handy in the World Cup. You can’t buy experience and you can’t change players who have been touring India for years.”

Also talked about the injury of New Zealand fast bowler Kane Williamson. Williamson was injured while fielding at the start of IPL 2023 while playing for Gujarat Titans. Bolt said, “What is happening with his knee is not good, but he is working hard to get there. This is a great tournament. 100 percent, I want to be there.”
