Sambhal Violence Update: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has ordered a judicial inquiry into the recent violence in Sambhal. According to the order of the State Home Department, a three-member committee headed by retired High Court judge Devendra Kumar Arora has been entrusted with the responsibility of investigating the case. The two other members of the committee are retired IAS officer Amit Mohan Prasad and former IPS officer Arvind Kumar Jain. The committee has been asked to submit its report within two months.
The order for formation of the committee was issued by the Home Department of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. It says, “Whether the violent incident that took place on November 24, 2024, during the survey ordered by the Honorable Court in the Jama Masjid vs. Harihar Temple dispute, was a pre-planned conspiracy or a simple criminal incident, due to which several police personnel were injured, four persons There was death and damage to property, an investigation is necessary in the public interest.”
Administration alert regarding Friday prayers
The administration is on alert after the Sambhal violence and keeping in mind the first Friday prayers after this incident, CCTV cameras were installed in the areas around the mosque on Thursday. Dharamveer, who installed CCTV, while talking to IANS, said that CCTV cameras are being installed by the administration. A total of 20 cameras are being installed around Jama Masjid. It is being installed at all the nearby intersections and intersections.
Stones were pelted on the survey team
Let us tell you that a survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid of Sambhal was conducted on the morning of 24th November. Police say that during this time, unruly elements pelted stones at the survey team near the mosque. The atmosphere started deteriorating in no time. To control the situation, the police released tear gas shells and also warned the unruly elements. Many people also died during the violence.
