Big agreement between Russia and Pakistan, why Putin is increasing closeness with India’s ‘enemy’ country, know

Pakistan Russia Trade Deal: Pakistan and Russia have decided to strengthen economic relations between the two countries. In this series, Pakistan-Russia Trade and Investment Forum has been inaugurated in the capital Moscow. Pakistan has been continuously increasing economic and trade relations with Russia for some time. Apart from this, Pakistan also has its eyes on BRICS group. This investment forum has been inaugurated under the leadership of Union Minister of Privatization, Investment and Communications Board, Abdul Aleem Khan. An MoU has also been signed between the two countries regarding this trade agreement.

Agreement reached on barter trade

Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Alexey Gruzdev, inaugurated the Forum at the opening ceremony held in Moscow. Other senior Russian officials including Evgeny Fidchuk, advisor to the Transport Minister, also participated in it. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Mohammad Khalid Jamali was also present there. An agreement has been signed between the two countries regarding barter trade. Both the countries have also signed MoU regarding this. In this business one buys another item by giving one item.

Pakistan will get some relief from this agreement with Russia. Everyone is aware of the poor condition of Pakistan. Its foreign exchange reserves also read empty. An agreement has been reached between Russian firm LLC and two Pakistani companies for exchange of goods like chickpeas, rice, fruits, potatoes and pulses.

Barter trade used to happen earlier also

Even before this there was barter trade between Russia and Pakistan. During the 50-70s, Pakistan used to import machinery from Russia. So Russia used to export leather and other goods. During the SCO summit held this year, Pakistan had requested for barter. Which Russia has accepted. Pakistani media has described this deal as historic. India is also keeping an eye on the agreement between Russia and Pakistan.
