Indore Govt Land Vacated: On Tuesday (April 2), the administration vacated the land occupied by mafia in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. In Indore, action was taken on a large scale by the district administration staff in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation to free the valuable government land from the possession of the land mafia. This action was taken on the instructions of District Collector Ashish Singh.

In the action, 4.967 hectares of government land located in village Tezpur Ghaladi of Tehsil Rau was freed from the possession of land mafia. The market value of this land is around Rs 500 crore.

Precious land vacated from mafia possession

Additional Collector Sapna Lovanshi said that the total area of ​​land survey number 56, 57, 58, 59, 99/1 located in village Tezpur Ghaldi of Tehsil Rau is 4.967 hectares. Its landuse is PSP and residential. The government guideline value of the land is Rs 118.21 crore and the market price is around Rs 500 crore. He told that the circular issued by the government since 2000 was misused by the land mafia. The mafia had built about 25 small ruin-like rooms on the land located in the center of Indore city, which were located about 100 feet apart.

This is how a conspiracy was hatched to grab government land

According to the information, there was no arrangement for electricity, water, sewerage line, road etc. in these rooms. The encroaching land mafia was trying to take profit by showing an illegal colony here. For this very purpose, a conspiracy was being hatched to grab the land and an attempt was being made to cause financial loss to the government. No evidence of illegal colony was found on the spot.

It was told that in the year 2021, on behalf of the then Collector Manish Singh, in his investigation report, a letter was written to the Indore Commissioner to remove the encroachment done on this land in the last few years. Today, on the instructions of Collector Ashish Singh, the administration staff including Additional Collector Sapna Lovanshi removed the encroachment.
