Rahul Gandhi in UP: The next phase of Rahul Gandhi’s ambitious Bharat Jodo Yatra is going to start from January 3. Congress workers including Rahul Gandhi have started preparing for it. According to the Congress leaders of UP, a journey of 120 kilometers will be covered in UP under the journey starting from January 3. This journey will be completed by January 5. After this the yatra will enter Haryana.
According to AICC general secretary and party spokesperson Jairam Ramesh, on January 3, the yatra will begin near the Hanuman temple at Kashmiri Gate in Delhi and will enter Ghaziabad by noon. The first day of the yatra will end at Mavikala village in Baghpat. Overnight rest will be done there. The yatra will reach Shamli the next day on January 4 and enter Sanauli village in Haryana on the evening of January 5.
Likely to come with 2500 people
Baghpat district unit president of Congress, Yunus Chowdhary told that the passengers will be welcomed at Dundaheda checkpost and the yatra will be halted at Mavikala village. Arrangements have been made for Rahul Gandhi’s stay in a farm house. Arrangements have been made for the stay of about 2000-2500 passengers.
Member of the administrative coordination committee of the yatra and former MP PL Punia said that there is tremendous enthusiasm among the yatris and it has been our endeavor to include Congress workers from 75 districts of UP in this yatra. People involved in the yatra have been asked to join this yatra from every part of the organization as our aim is to strengthen the organization and not just to gather crowds. He told that the list of people who would be participating in the yatra was first asked from the block presidents. Then according to that list photo based passes have been prepared. On the same basis, arrangements have been made for their stay and food.
Less likely to join opposition leaders
According to reports, Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati and Jayant Chaudhary are not likely to participate in Rahul Gandhi’s visit. When asked about this, Punia said that this is a completely non-political yatra, whose clear message is to end the atmosphere of hatred in the country and focus on solidarity.
State Congress spokesperson Ashok Singh had recently told that the party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra in UP. Let us tell you that the Bharat Jodo Yatra has started from Kanyakumari on September 7 and will end at Jammu and Kashmir.
