Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Gangwar has given instructions to take action against those who pollute the roads.
Meerut Municipal Corporation has prepared to impose fine on those who pollute the city roads. This fine will start from Rs 50 to Rs 5,000. Instructions have also been given to collect the fine amount immediately. The officials of the Health Department of the Municipal Corporation were told to understand the seriousness of the matter and those who spit and pollute the city streets should not be spared. Fine should be collected from them, along with this people should also be made aware that this city is yours and it is your responsibility to keep it clean.
Municipal Commissioner took a meeting of officials
Meerut Municipal Corporation’s Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Gangwar took a meeting with the officials of the Health Department of the Municipal Corporation. When the Municipal Commissioner asked how many people had been fined so far, the officers started looking around. The Municipal Commissioner was also very angry on this matter. He instructed the city health officer in-charge, Dr. Harpal Singh, to instruct all the sanitation inspectors and other officers to take action and fine should be collected from whoever is found polluting the roads. Instructions have also been given to hand over the receipt of the fine.
People spitting will also be found through CCTV installed in the markets.
Meerut Municipal Corporation seems to be very serious regarding the Swachh Survekshan. The Municipal Corporation wants to improve its rank in the Swachh Survekshan. Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Gangwar has given instructions that in all the markets where CCTVs are installed and there are complaints of littering, spitting and burning of garbage on the roads, then such people should be identified through the CCTV cameras installed there and the traders should take cooperation. Whoever is being negligent and making the city dirty, definitely impose a fine against him.
Municipal Corporation employees are working day and night to clean the city and some people are making the city roads dirty. City Health Officer in-charge Dr. Harpal Singh says that we are no longer in a mood to give concessions and will now charge fines from those who throw garbage on the roads, burn garbage or get high after consuming gutkha.
