Bettiah’s youth murdered in Bhagalpur, he was going while smoking cigarette… miscreants shot him 4 bullets

Bhagalpur Murder: A young man was shot dead in Bhagalpur on Sunday (20 October) night. This incident has been carried out in front of a grocery shop near Khadi Bhandar located in Naya Tola of Navgachia police station area. The deceased has been identified as Ravindra Kumar (25 years), son of Ashrafi Chaudhary of Bettiah. Three miscreants had arrived on bike. The young man was shot four times due to which he died on the spot.

After committing the crime, the three miscreants fled from the spot. The deceased youth also had a criminal history. It is said that the youth’s maternal home is in Naya Tola. Since childhood, he lived with his maternal grandfather Vasudev Choudhary. There was a stir after this incident that happened at night.

The young man was going home smoking a cigarette

Regarding the incident, it is being told that Ravindra was going towards home while smoking a cigarette. As soon as he reached near Neeraj Yadav’s grocery shop, three miscreants riding a black bike opened fire. Four bullets hit the back, head and other parts of the body. The young man died on the spot in the accident.

The people present at the spot informed the police picket officer present at the Khadi store. After the information, Navgachia Police Station Head Ravi Shankar Singh arrived with his team. The body was sent to Navgachia Sub-Divisional Hospital for post-mortem. Police have recovered four shell casings from the incident site. He said that a call was made to the relatives of the deceased but they said that only the maternal relatives will perform the last rites. No accurate information is being given by maternal uncle. Nor have they reached the hospital.

Navgachia SDPO Om Prakash also reached the spot. SDPO said that the deceased also had a criminal history. He has also been to jail in the past. Shell casings have been recovered from the incident site. Police is taking further action. The investigation is being done with the help of CCTV cameras nearby.
