Patna University News: An amount of Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned to Patna University by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This amount has been given by the Higher Education Department under PM Usha Scheme. Patna University had submitted an application to get this grant, under which this amount will now be given to Patna University.

Actually, the Higher Education Department has approved this amount to Patna University under PM Usha Scheme. PU was waiting for this amount for a long time. After PU’s application, proposals were sent by the Bihar government. This amount will be available for ranking, infrastructure and research. PU has benefited from this amount by defeating many states.
A tweet by Samrat Chaudhary surprised everyone
However, along with the news of sanction of Rs 100 crore, a tweet by Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary surprised everyone. From his tweet it appeared that PU has got the status of Central University, but it was later clarified. For some time, it started circulating on social media that Patna University got the status of Central University, but later the tweet was deleted through Samrat Chaudhary and after that the picture became clear.
Let us tell you that the demand of the people of Bihar and PU students to give the status of Central University to Patna University is years old, but till now it has not been fulfilled. CM Nitish Kumar was also demanding the status of Central University for Patna University for a long time. In 2017, when the PM visited PU on the completion of 100 years of Patna University, at that time also Bihar CM Nitish Kumar addressed the PM. Narendra Modi Had demanded to give the status of Central University to PU. However, now the Union Education Ministry has given a package of Rs 100 crore to Patna University, which will prove helpful in its rejuvenation. Patna University will get further strength in its academic and research structure.
