ED raid in Jharkhand: ED has raided many places in Jharkhand and West Bengal in the illegal Bangladeshi infiltration case. According to the information, ED has raided 17 places in Jharkhand and West Bengal. This matter is related to Bangladeshi infiltration in Jharkhand.
Officials of ED’s Jharkhand office are conducting searches at a total of 17 places in the two neighboring states. The ED had registered a case in September under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to investigate a case of alleged infiltration and trafficking of some Bangladeshi women in Jharkhand. It is alleged that criminal income was earned through infiltration and smuggling.

NIA had raided
On Monday (November 11), NIA had conducted raids in nine states of the country and took action against the network of Bangladeshis and Al Qaeda. In this raid it was revealed that suspected Bangladeshis are funding Al Qaeda and how they are becoming a threat to the internal security of the country.
BJP had raised the issue of infiltration during the election campaign.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi And other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, during the recent election campaign, have accused the state government of encouraging such infiltration that has changed the demographic landscape of the tribal-dominated Santhal Pargana and Kolhan regions.
In the first phase of assembly elections in Jharkhand, voting will be held on 43 seats on Wednesday, while in the second phase, voting will be held on 38 seats on November 20. The enforcement case information report (ECIR) filed by the federal agency under various sections of the PMLA is based on an FIR by Jharkhand Police lodged at Bariatu police station in the capital Ranchi in June.
