Before Donald Trump’s swearing in, Indian students got a big warning, know what is the matter

Donald Trump’s Oath Ceremony: Donald Trump is going to be sworn in as the 47th President of America on January 20, 2025. Even before this, American universities are warning their students. All schools are asking foreign students, including Indians, to return from their winter vacations before January 20. In fact, in the advisory issued to students, it has been said that this has been done to avoid possible travel restrictions and increased scrutiny at entry points.

After Trump’s arrival, it will be difficult to go to America

It is being said that after Donald Trump returns to power in America, it will become more difficult for people to go to America. The students said that university officials are upset with Donald Trump’s threat during the election campaign to expel illegal immigrants. However, it is unlikely to have any impact on Indian students with valid visas. At the same time, the university administration said that risk should not be taken.

For the first time, more Indian students than Chinese students are studying in American universities.

It is noteworthy that between 2023-24, 3.3 lakh Indian students had enrolled in American universities as compared to 2.7 lakh Chinese students.

University made changes in its academic calendar

Before the return of Donald Trump, some universities have made changes in their academic calendar. According to a Times of India report, a postgraduate student in data science at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon said that his classes start after the first week of the year. However, this time the educational program is starting from January 2.

The student said that our professors say that returning after the first week of January can be risky.
