Dungarpur-Banswara MP Rajkumar Roat met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the PM Office Lok Sabha Bhawan in Delhi. During the meeting which lasted for about 20 minutes, MP Rot discussed many important demands related to the development and public interest of tribal dominated areas of Rajasthan.

A 17-point demand letter was presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi today by MP Rajkumar Roat. The focus of these demands was the overall development of the tribal society, demand for Bhil state, implementation of constitutional provisions, solution to the problems of drinking water and irrigation in Dungarpur-Banswara and improvement in the field of education and health.

These demands were placed before Prime Minister Modi

1. Demand for drinking water and irrigation project for Dungarpur-Banswara by fulfilling the terms of the agreement of Gujarat-Rajasthan during the construction of Mahi-Kadana Dam in 1966.
2. Demand to create Bhil Pradesh by merging parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
3. Issuance of work order for the sanctioned drinking water project from Kadana to Ganji Ghata worth Rs. 886 crore for Chaurasi assembly constituency in the budget session 2022.
4. Demand to stop the proposed trigger project in the entire country in view of the recent deaths due to wild animals and displacement of tribals.
5. In view of the far-reaching ill effects of the proposed nuclear power plant in Banswara district, demand to ban the nuclear power plant by setting up a project.
6. Demand to open Overseas Education Center for providing education to the children of laborers working in Gujarat.
7. Demand to declare August 9 as World Tribal Day declared by the United Nations as a state holiday in the entire country.
8. Demand to implement Migrant Labor Medical Scheme for the treatment of migrant laborers working in Gujarat.
9. Demand to open an additional new Navodaya Vidyalaya in Dungarpur.
10. Demand to give ownership rights in mining by forming cooperative societies for the local tribes in compliance with the order of Supreme Court’s Samata Judgment 1997 in the scheduled areas.
11. Demand to give Bharat Ratna posthumously to Birsa Munda, Mama Baleshwar, Tantya Mama Bhil.
12. Demand to open modern hostel for SC community candidates in Banswara parliamentary constituency.
13. Demand to open a sports university in Banswara parliamentary constituency.
14. IIT, NEET and IIM in Banswara parliamentary constituency. Like the demand to open high level tribal coaching centers to go to prestigious institutions.
15. Demand to open Skill Development College under Skill Efficiency Scheme.
16. Demand to open new AIIMS in tribal dominated areas of Rajasthan.
17. Demand to provide financial assistance by accepting all the applications for PM Assistance Fund from Banswara- Dungarpur district.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi After the meeting, MP Rajkumar Roat said that the meeting was positive and the Prime Minister has assured to seriously consider all the demands. Also told MP Rajkumar Rot that every possible effort will be made to bring the tribal areas of the country into the mainstream of development.
