Indians are very angry at what is happening to Hindus in Bangladesh. The Indian government has been repeatedly objecting to these incidents and has also registered its displeasure with the Mohammad Yunus government, after which tension has increased between the two countries. Instead of improving relations, Bangladesh has now accomplished a new feat. He has deployed Turkish drones near the Chicken Neck area in West Bengal. These drones are Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Bayraktar TB2 and Bangladesh has purchased 12 such drones from Türkiye this year.
According to Defense Technology of Bangladesh (DTB), out of 12 Bayraktar TB2 taken from Türkiye, 6 are operational. Defense affairs website ITRW and India Today quoted sources as saying that these drones are being operated by the 67th Army of Bangladesh for surveillance and intelligence. This information has come to light at a time when reports of terrorist activities are emerging in the neighboring country on the border with Bengal. It has been informed in many intelligence inputs that the activities of extremists have increased after Sheikh Hasina left the post of PM and fled the country. Meanwhile, this step of Bangladesh near the border is very important for India from security point of view, however, India also keeps an eye on every step of its neighbor, hence the army has been kept on high alert.
An India Today report quoted a senior intelligence officer as saying that since Sheikh Hasina’s removal from power, there has been an increase in anti-India elements in the border areas of Bangladesh. He suggested that India needs to be cautious regarding the political instability of the neighboring country and the deployment of advanced UAV drones on the border.
The report said that a senior defense official has said on the latest move by the neighbor that the Indian Army is already on high alert due to the ongoing tension with Bangladesh and is also closely monitoring what the Yunus government is doing on the border. Rakhi is living. He said, ‘We are closely monitoring the situation and if necessary, necessary steps will be taken to ensure the security of our borders. Apart from this, India is also keeping an eye on the situation inside Bangladesh with the help of intelligence-sharing mechanism and its international partners.
