Salt missed the century

Delhi’s third wicket fell on the third ball of the 16th over. Opener Philip Salt, who was batting brilliantly, was bowled by Karn Sharma. Salt played an inning of 87 runs in 45 balls. During this, he hit 8 fours and 6 sixes. He missed out on a century but was successful in taking Delhi to the cusp of victory. Riley Russo remained unbeaten after scoring 35 runs and Akshar Patel scored 8 runs. Josh Hazlewood, Karn Sharma and Harshal Patel took 1-1 wickets from RCB.

Earlier, winning the toss and opting to bat first, RCB got the first blow on the third ball of the 11th over. Mitchell Marsh got Faf caught out by Akshar Patel. The RCB captain played an inning of 45 runs off 32 balls. In this innings, he hit 5 fours and 1 six. RCB’s second wicket fell on the very next ball. Maxwell became the victim of a golden duck. Marsh got him caught out by Salt.

Lomror’s unbeaten innings

There was a 55-run partnership for the third wicket between Kohli and Mahipal. RCB’s third wicket fell on the last ball of the 16th over. Mukesh sent the pavilion to Virat Kohli, who was batting well. King Kohli played an inning of 55 runs in 46 balls. This is Virat’s 50th half-century in IPL. Dinesh Karthik was caught out on the first ball of the last over. Khaleel gave Delhi the fourth success. Karthik scored 11 runs in 9 balls. Anuj Rawat remained unbeaten after scoring 8 runs and Mahipal 54 runs.
